Riddle me this

Saw this on the warps forum and thought it would be fun to start it here.

Basically you post a riddle and someone answers it, pretty self explanitory.

I'll start.

What gets bigger th more you take from it?

a hole.

I loved this one when I was small:

I am the beginning of eternity and the end of time and space.
I am the beginnning of every end and the end of every place.
What am I?

The letter e.

What gets wetter the more it dries?

a towel, not sure you phrased that properly either.....

What English word retains the same pronunciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?

Q(ueue).


I turn mountains to sand and sand back into mountains. I dry out rivers and form new streams. I destroy old stars and create new ones. I rob children of innocence, adults of health and at the end, all creatures succumb to me and die. I sour food and curdle milk. What am I?

Time.

What can travel around the world while staying in a corner?

a stamp

what has a face but no head

A clock.

What needs food to live but water will kill it?

Fire.

Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?

Well if he was looking in from the outside then when he jumps through he would survive, however then it wouldn't be miraculous.

(Then again the answer could be a miracle)

but since that would make a boring riddle I would say he was outside the window looking for a some reason.
